HOW TO STYLE NECKLACES + SWEATERS FOR FALL
My favourite piece of jewelry is always a dainty gold necklace because it goes with everything. That is until Fall comes around and I have to bring out my thick sweaters.
I have been loving recent jewelry trends, chunky chains, big hoops, large pendants and lots of gold! I want to show you how to style necklaces and sweaters for Fall using these new jewelry trends and how to transition daintier pieces of jewelry, with the help of a Calgary owned and operated company called Joydrop.
I love this simple initial necklace, but when I wear it with a sweater it gets lost. I layered it with another necklace that has a larger pendant and also added a thicker round chain to draw more attention and make the combination pop off the sweater. I wore thick gold hoops to tie it all together.
Each necklace is so versatile and looks stunning by itself, but together they create a unique and interesting look. Joydrop has a huge range of jewelry from their basic pieces line to collections from designers around the world. They have some of the jewelry world’s mainstays, and they also bring in an eclectic assortment of sunglasses, earrings, and necklaces.
This is my ode to The Rock’s classic turtleneck and fanny pack look. How did I do??
A turtleneck is a Fall must-have but it can look boring on it’s own. It’s easy to elevate this look and make it more fun by adding a necklace or two or three… I took a long chain necklace, wrapped it around twice and tucked in the shorter end for a simple chain look.
When styling your necklaces with Fall sweaters, here’s some tips to remember when layering:
Choose a different chain style for each necklace
Each necklace should be a different length
It usually looks best to layer in odd numbers
Pick different pendant styles or no pendant
If layering isn’t for you, look for a bold, statement necklace that will break up the texture of a thick sweater.
