4 EASY AND AFFORDABLE WAYS TO UPGRADE YOUR CLOSET
We are over half way into January!!! I know you've been working hard and you deserve to treat yourself but sometimes its hard after the holidays. If your bank account is still recovering or you just love a good deal, keep reading!
I got together with boss babe Katie from The Clothing Bar and we had so much (probably too much) fun creating these easy and affordable looks! And you probably have most of it in your closet already! If you don't know, The Clothing Bar is my new favourite consignment store. I'm always so shocked at how much I find, if I let myself look for too long I will leave with about 10 things. But the prices are amazing so I don't feel as bad! They also host cool events where some people go and drink too much wine (totally wasn't me...) so make sure to follow them on Instagram @clothing_bar_yyc to stay in the loop.
We figured that everyone owns an all black outfit #allblackeverything. And if you don't, then you should. All these pieces are from our own closets but I linked some affordable and similar options below.
We looked around The Clothing Bar and found some great ways to make these outfits trendy and chic AF but at a reasonable price!

ADD A WARM LAYER
I love the bold patterns on these two pieces! They are so easy to wear because you literally just throw it on. I added my favourite belt so my waist didn't get lost in all the layers while Katie rocks the over-sized jacket look.
ADD some Plaid
Plaid looks good on everyone. It's a bold pattern which adds so much to a neutral outfit. The colours on this shirt are perfect and I could also tie it around my waist for a different look. Katie found this amazing Burberry-style scarf that can be styled so many different ways!
ADD A BLAZER
Want to look instantly put-together? Throw on a blazer! I love the contrast these blazers have with the black. It makes it stand out and look so chic. These blazers are a bit over-sized giving off an effortless vibe.
ACCESSORIZE
Accessories are so versatile and so much fun. I love that Katie added some sunglasses, a necklace, and a Matt and Nat bag to her outfit. They are such small details but they make a huge impact on the outfit!
Run, don't walk, to The Clothing Bar to get some budget-friendly outfits and to hang out with Katie (she's the best)!
